We are proud to announce the release of Open-VA version 1.0.
With this fully functional release the first Open Source SOA Validation Authority is at last available for download and usage by the community under a GPL license.
The main features included in this release are:
- Validation of Digital Certificates
- Validation of digital signatures
- Central configuration and administration of trusted anchors, no more internal JDK certificate storage and CA distribution
- CRL and OCSP support
- Transparent SOAP support, eliminating the need to distribute cryptographic API
With this release we hope to provide the community with a reliable source for certificate and signature validation that can be shared among different applications. In this way an organization or individual is able to decide the certificate validation policies that will be used by its dependent projects.
