  Previous release of Open-VA provided support only for oracle database due to LOB usage. In this version more databases are supported.

• Support Package for Spanish Identity Card (eDNI)
  Open-VA allows the Spanish Identity Card (eDNI) to be used as a common certificate for cryptographic operations.

• X.509 Digital Certificate validation 
  A X.509 certificate is a Digital Certificate that binds together a Public Key with some identifying information (such as the name of a person or an organization, their address, and so forth) and a Certificate Authority's private key. X.509 is currently the dominant digital certificate standard and is used by TLS, S/MIME and IPSEC. 
• CMS signature validation
  The Cryptographic Message Syntax (CMS) is the IETF's standard for cryptographically protected messages. It can be used to digitally sign, digest, authenticate and encrypt any form of digital data.
  Open-VA allows the validation of documents signed using CMS.
